OUTLANDER star Sam Heughan met up with some real Royalty today at the Glasgow's Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Prince Charles chatted to the lead actor from the time travelling Jacobite drama, who is a former acting graduate and said he is expecting to receive DVD copies of the hit TV show.

The Prince of Wales made a special appearance at the college on Firday where he met staff and students as well as Heughan, who plays Jamie Fraser in the hit show which charts Bonnie Prince Charlie's doomed Jacobite rebellion.

Mr Heughan, 39, said: “He told me he hasn’t seen the show yet but I believe they’re going to sit down and I’m going to send him some DVDs.

“He’ll see his namesake in the show but I didn’t want to help him find out what happens to him.”

And he joked: “Prince Charlie obviously doesn’t do too well in Outlander.”
