South side nursery's bid to extend opening hours blocked over noise fears
A SOUTH Side nursery's bid to extend its opening hours has been knocked back by the council.
Smiley Stars Nursery, on Manswood's Hillside Road, made a bid to add two additional hours to its daily operating times, changing from 8am to 6pm to 7am to 7pm.

However, Glasgow City Council refused the bid stating it would cause "unacceptable noise and disturbance" to residents of the area - despite the business occupying a standalone building.

The nursery could not be reached for comment.
