A POPULAR restaurant in Glasgow has been broken into in an early-morning raid.
Police Scotland confirmed its officers received a report of a housebreaking incident at the Village Curry House on Nelson Street at around 3.30am today (Tuesday).

One eyewitness told the Evening Times: “The Village Curry House was all smashed up this morning and police were outside. It looked like a robbery.”

The force confirmed a three-figure sum of cash was stolen and that enquiries are ongoing.
