THE family of a terminally ill schoolgirl have launched a desperate plea for Disney Channel star Zendaya to record a video message for the stricken youngster.

Brave Kiara Buonomo, from Springburn, was diagnosed with brain cancer last year and has been given just months to live.

The seven-year-old's devastated loved ones are determined to fulfil her final wish to have Greatest Showman actress Zendaya record a special message for Kiara.

Kerry Marie O'Reilly, a close friend of Kiara's parents Natasha Kinlan and Aldo Bounomo, said: "We will do anything we can to fulfil her final wish."

The brave youngster knows every word to former Disney Channel actress Zendaya’s featured song Wonderful Life – with her parents even filming her singing along before her condition deteriorated.

Her parents Natasha, 30, Aldo, 29, and siblings Kayla, nine, and AJ, three, remain vigil at her side at Robin House Children's Hospice.

Family friend Kerry said: "Kiara has grade four brain cancer but she's an amazing wee girl who is still always smiling, even with tubes up her.

"She's in Robin House at the moment but she's a big fan of Zendaya and we've got videos of her singing her favourite song.

"Even when she had her tumour cut out she still sang away and watched the film constantly.

"I want to reach out to Zendaya to record a video message because we don't know how long Kiara has got left.

"It would be a dying wish come true."

Despicable trolls sent vile messages to the family after they shared her heartbreaking story online.

Kerry continued: "Those trolls absolutely broke the family but Kiara's story has touched a lot of hearts.

"It's absolutely heartbreaking but Natasha, her mum, is very strong and that's where Kiara gets it from.

"Her father is also very strong - they are such a strong family.

"They are making as many memories as possible but they really want this."

Family and friends of Kiara have did everything they can to contact Zendaya on social media to no avail.

The actress, 22, first rose to prominence opposite Bella Thorne in Disney Channel’s dance sitcom Shake It Up.

Since then she has gained an Instagram following of 55.7million people and starred in hit films The Greatest Showman and the Marvel smash-hit, Spiderman Homecoming.
