Rangers manager Steven Gerrard
RANGERS have missed out on a deal for Rennes defender Mexer after he put pen-to-paper on a contract with Bordeaux.
Boss Steven Gerrard admitted on Thursday morning that he expected the Mozambican international to remain in Ligue 1 next term.
And Mexer has now committed his future to Bordeaux by agreeing a four-year deal with the side managed by Portuguese Paulo Sousa.
