BRITAIN'S Got Talent boy wonder Kerr James is just one of the star attractions at a charity gig in Paisley tonight.

Kerr’s vocal coach Robert Wishart is hosting a showcase of his students to raise money for the Riverbrae Special Needs School at the Pace Wynd Centre Auditorium.

Kerr, who stunned talent show judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams with his vocal talents, has been training with Robert over the last year.

After performing a rendition of Try A Little Tenderness by Otis Redding, Kerr was given an invitation to the next round of the TV talent show.

Performing on the night alongside him will be our very own showbiz writer Beverley Lyons, who has been training with Robert for the last few months.

Bev will be hosting the gig and kicking off the night with a big song.

She told us: “I can’t wait but I’m pretty nervous because this is the first time I’ve properly sung in front of a big audience. Robert has been an incredible vocal coach and really helped me with my technique but you never what can happen during a performance. Fingers crossed.”

Robert has trained lots of big names in the past including everyone from Michelle McManus to Freddie Mercury impersonator Gary Mullen.

He also performs in his own right at Glasgow’s The Old Shipbank.
