Day one of Scotland's only graffiti and street art festival took place on Saturday at SWG3, in Glasgow's West End.

The event welcomed more than 2000 people to the venue, who came to witness the incredible art unfold, eat, drink and bask in the sunshine.

A spokesperson for SWG3, said: "Yesterday was incredible. We had more than 2000 people come through the doors and some really spectacular art on show.

"We're expecting another busy day today, especially as the sun is shining and most of the murals will be completed."

Yardworks 2019 is held in SWG3's sprawling outdoor Galvanizers Yard, the city’s largest legal graffiti site and, over the course of the weekend, will see more than 700 metres of wall space transformed with displays of vibrant artwork.

It is expected that more than 400 shades of paint and 800 litres will be used by the end of Sunday.

The event is on from 11am until 8pm. Tickets cost £5 on the door, with free entry for G3 residents and U16's.
