A WEE COUNTY youngster managed to raise more than £100 for his nursery by walking back and forth over the Forth Road Bridge earlier this month.

Bryce Kyle, 4, was keen to do whatever he could to help out, after hearing his nursery at Park Primary School in Alloa wanted to improve their garden.

So, his mum and dad, Nadine and Gary, suggested he take on a challenge of his own.

Nadine said: "Bryce is having such a good time at this lovely wee nursery.

“As soon as we suggested to him that we help with the fundraising and explained what it is for, he was so excited and couldn't wait to help.”

After getting everything in place, they set off from one end of the Forth Road Bridge to the other, and back again, on Friday, May 3.

Incredibly, Bryce managed to make the journey in just one hour and three minutes.

Speaking about how he enjoyed his day out, Nadine said: “Bryce loved it. He loves transport, and while on the bridge he seen a helicopter and lorries so he had a fantastic wee day out.”

She added that his parents were “so proud” of him, and loved watching how happy he was to help others.

So far, Bryce’s walk has brought in around £130 for his nursery's garden renovations.
