A COMMUNITY has appealed to the public and local businesses to support plans to create a memorial garden in Maryhill.
Ledgowan Tenants Hall is behind the project and is looking for financial support or donations of plants, pebbles, stonework, slabs, water features and sand.
An open day is being held on July 7 at the hall to take forward the plan and anyone interested in volunteering is being encouraged to attend.

"This will be a complete community project done by the local community and businesses."
Maryhill MSP Bob Doris said: "The memorial garden is a lovely idea and I am sure the community will rally around to make it a great success just as they have done with Tracy’s Tree each Christmas."
