A BUDDING actress has helped a Scottish children's charity nab a major award while starring in her first advert.
Paige Green stepped in front of the camera for the first time after she was cast to play a little girl who’d been supported by Children 1st as part of their Give A Smile Back campaign.
The nine-year-old, who is in primary six at Notre Dame Primary School, portrayed a child who had suffered abuse and was filmed walking aimlessly through the streets of Glasgow as well as interacting with a charity support worker.

Now, the the UK Theatre School-goer is relishing in the product, which was made by Glasgow--based Frame Group, winning the best TV ad category at The Nods Award dubbed "the Oscars" of the advertising world.
Paige, who lives in the Thornwood, said: “Filming the ad was a really exciting experience. It was interesting seeing all what goes on in the background to making a TV ad.
"I’m really chuffed that the ad did well for the charity and was recognised with this big award.”
Despite this being the youngster's first filming experience, she was known as the "one shoot wonder" during the recording in September last year, with casting director Claire Catterson describing Paige as a "superstar" and "wonderful" in the campaign.

Proud mum Linzi Inglis said: “Like any mother, I was proud that she’d been selected to film the ad.
"I’m really delighted the ad worked for the charity in such a positive way and earned them the award. She’s really passionate about her time at the theatre school and this has encouraged her even more to pursue her interest in the performing arts.”
