A CONVICTED killer has been found guilty of murdering a man then chopping up his body.
David Collins attacked Kevin Bishop with a machete at his home in Paisley last July.
The 32-year-old's torso was later discovered dumped in a bin outside the flat.
Collins told jurors he had been acting in self-defence at the time of the attack.

But, the 46-year-old was found guilty of murder following a trial at the High Court in Glasgow today.
Prosecutor Gillian Ross then revealed Collins had been convicted of culpable homicide in 2002.
The thug was jailed for five years at the time after killing his father with a sword.
A murder probe was launched last summer after Kevin was reported missing by worried family.
Police made the grim find of the heavily-bound torso in a wheelie-bin.

His head, arms and legs were never recovered.
It emerged Collins had effectively confessed to his ex-partner, saying there had been a confrontation and “Kevin died”.
She told jurors she didn’t believe him and later visited his flat to deliver his suitcase She recalled going in to the bedroom and there was “something on the floor wrapped in plastic”.
She witnessed him put the suitcase in the bin. He then poured a bottle of aftershave on top.
The trial was told the cause of Kevin's death could not be confirmed.
Collins told it took only five minutes to hack off Kevin's head and around an hour for the limbs.

The killer said he was “sick” at what had happened.
Detective Chief Inspector Martin Fergus from Police Scotland’s Major Investigations Team (WEST) said: “This was an extremely disturbing case which saw a man murdered and then disposed of in the most brutal of ways.
“David Collins is a very dangerous and callous individual and it is a relief that he has been taken out of our community, and will no longer be free to harm others.
“The trial has been a distressing time for the family of Kevin Bishop, who have had to sit and listen to the gruesome details of how their loved one died. I would like to thank them for the support they gave the inquiry team throughout this process and I hope that today’s outcome provides them with some sort of comfort.
“He was last seen by his family on Saturday, July 28 in the Ferguslie Park area of Paisley. They reported him missing to police on Saturday, August 4.
“Kevin’s remains have not been fully recovered and it is vital that we find them in order to allow his family to grieve properly.
“I am appealing directly to anyone who may have knowledge of where his remains may be, to pass this information to Police Scotland’s Major Investigations Team (WEST) via 101.”
Lady Rae ordered Collins serve a minimum 26 years for the murder and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
