Giovanna won the Bar/ Cafe/Restaurant of the Year accolade, while Rosie picked up the Rising Star of the Year award and the Hospitality Industry Trust (HIT) Scotland scholarship.

The scholarship includes an annual bursary trip to Lausanne Hotel School, attended by hospitality students from all over Scotland.

The awards, held at the Waldorf Astoria in Edinburgh, celebrate the achievements of women in Scotland working in the hospitality and tourism sector.

Organisers say the event has brought recognition to the industry and increased the number of women in senior leadership roles across the visitor economy.

Giovanna said: "I'm overwhelmed to win, particularly to be judged by your peers. Hospitality is a tough industry for women. This event puts all women in the industry on the map.

"There's a whole team behind me who helped win the award. I have a lot to thank the generations of strong women I come from."

Rosie said: "It's really exciting to win not just an award but also the HIT scholarship. It has been wonderful to be in a room with so many women doing such amazing things in the tourism and hospitality industry."

Speakers at this year's awards included Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne, founder of gluten-free company Genius Foods.
