EMERGENCY services rushed to the scene of a road crash on a major road this afternoon.
Two cars were involved in the collision at 1.30pm on the A803 in Kirkintilloch near The Stables Inn restaurant.

The road was closed for a short period of time but has since reopened.
There were no reports of serious injuries, however, a man has been arrested following the incident.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Around 1.30pm, police were called to a two car road crash near to The Stables Inn, Glasgow Road, Kirkintilloch.
"Emergency services attended and a man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

"No report of any serious injuries.
