A GLASGOW children's charity have appealed to the public for help after their van broke down, stalling their work.

Birth, Bath and Beyong, who provide starter packs for families having children in the city, need to raise around £6,000 to purchase a new vehicle to make delvieries.

The group say they are in desperate need of support as they try to continue their good work across Glasgow.

A statement on the charity's JustGiving page reads: "Birth, Baby & Beyond is a children's charity based in Glasgow that provides familes in need with free starter packs of essential baby and child items.

The charities van broke down and is beyond repair. That charity desperately needs a van to allow them to continue helping families in need.

"Without the use of a van the charity can not deliver starter packs to families facing financial hardship, isolation and many other difficulties. The use of a van is essential to allow the charity to ensure that families in need have access to clean and safe baby items for their children.

"The charity receives referrals every week and currently have starter packs waiting to be delivered to families.
