TWO men are alleged to have brutally attacked a man in Paisley by punching and kicking him. 

A 46-year-old man was rushed to hospital with facial injuries after the pair approached him on Waverley Road on Thursday, May 23. 

The incident, which took place at around 1.50pm, saw the two assailants punch and kick him. 

The victim managed to run off, whilst the suspects got into a silver car to follow him.

He made it into a friend’s house nearby on Waverley Road, whilst the suspects drove off.

Emergency services attended and the victim was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment to facial injuries.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault. 

The first suspect is described as white, 36 years old, 5ft6, skinny build, with black short hair and clean shaven. He was wearing a green jacket.

The second suspect is described as white, between 38 and 42 years old, of medium build, and wearing a grey tracksuit.

Detective Constable Karen Smith from Paisley CID said: “I am appealing for anyone who was in the area of Waverley Road yesterday afternoon and witnessed what happened, or noticed two men matching the above descriptions, to please get in touch.

“I would also urge any motorists with dash-cams to check their footage in case they have captured anything which could be of significance.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Paisley CID via 101, quoting incident number 1965 of Thursday 23 May 2019.
