A search has been launched for a 51-year-old man missing from Wishaw since Friday morning.

Philip Devine was last seen around 8am in Lomond Drive, Wishaw.  He failed to return home and was reported missing to police this morning, Saturday 25 May 2019.

Police say his disappearance is out of character, and his family are very worried.

He is white, around 5 ft. 5 inches tall, with a slim build, sallow skin, balding and has a black moustache.  He normally wears spectacles.

It is not known what clothing Philip was wearing but he normally wears a black beanie hat.

Extensive enquiries have been carried out, however attempts to locate him have so far proved unsuccessful.

Philip enjoys walking and has visited the Clyde Valle on a number of occasions.

Inspector Andy MacDonald said: “This is out of character for Philip and his family is very worried about him. 

"We are continuing to check CCTV footage for any information which could assist us in locating Philip. 

"I am appealing to anyone who may have seen Philip or who has any information or knowledge as to his whereabouts to contact us.”
