GLASGOW can expect a mixed bag of weather this Bank Holiday Monday, with the city and its surrounding areas told to expect sunny spells and showers.

Today will see a mostly dry and bright start with sunny spells developing, but also the occasional shower. The showers will be most frequent and heaviest to the east of Glasgow and Lanarkshire with many western coastal areas staying dry. With just a few, light winds, the city can expect a maximum temperature of 14°C.

There will be some late sunshine tonight with showers in the south and east, gradually dying out. It will ten be a mainly dry night with some long clear spells. It will be rather chilly inland with light winds again, with a minimum temperature of 4°C.

As folk head back to work on Tuesday, expect a largely dry day with some good spells of sunshine around, and just the odd mainly light shower expected to the east of Glasgow and across Lanarkshire. With mainly light northerly winds, a maximum temperature of 15°C. Should be expected.
