Work has begun on a multi-million pound hotel in Glasgow city centre.
Builders have moved into the site at the junction of Renfrew Street and Renfield Street, and are working to create the ambitious 300-bed building.
The 12-storey hotel will feature a bar, restaurant and business facilities, and the remaining area.

It comes just months after the Dalata Hotel Group were given the go-ahead to open the four-star hotel in February.
The £30m project is the first time the Maldron brand has ventured into Scotland, and Glasgow will become home to its flagship Scots site within two years.
Pictures from The Evening Times show early works being carried out to clear the area, which looks out onto Glasgow's iconic Pavillion Theatre and is located near to the city's major transport links.

The site sits just outside of Glasgow's Conservation area and was home to STV studios until they moved to their new offices in Pacific Quay.
It has been empty since 2007.

Now, with plans afoot to complete works by 2021, the project will introduce over 100 jobs to the city centre.
