DRIVERS are being warned of extra traffic on the roads today (Wednesday, May 29) amid two events.

A raceday is set to kick off at Hamilton Park Racecourse in South Lanarkshire just after noon, which will then wind down at 6pm. Motorists are being reminded to expect heavy traffic on Bothwell Road before and after the event.

Singer Rita Ora will also be taking to the stage at the SSE Hydro tonight. Doors to the venue will open at 6.30pm, with the 28-year-old’s show set to end at 10.30pm. Heavy traffic is being forecast on the M8 and Clydeside Expressway before and after the gig.
