Litter woe after parade

WITH regards the report in Wednesday’s Evening Times about Celtic fans littering the streets after the open-top bus parade had to be cancelled.

It was known to the council and police authorities for weeks that this parade was planned to take place.

Perhaps if appropriate barriers and additional bins had been put in place the mess might not have been so extensive.

It looked as though no planning had been put in place, which is par for the course for other events in the city.

Disgraceful mess

Disgraceful the mess that was left from the parade and Celtic fans.

You would have thought by now they would know how to celebrate without messing up the city centre.

I thought drinking in public was against the law in Glasgow, plenty evidence of it at Glasgow Cross.

Concert chaos

I WAS shocked to read about the ticket fiasco Westlife fans faced on Wednesday night at the SSE Hydro concert.

Surely the organisers should have had everything in place in time to ensure concert-goers didn’t have to endure this.

Considering the price of concerts nowadays, this is an awful way to treat music fans.

Waiting times record

WITH regards NHS waiting times performance in Scotland hitting a new low (Evening Times, Wednesday – I think it’s terrible the delays that patients face.

They have enough stress when visiting hospitals without being faced with even more delays which adds to the anxiety they face.
