THE lid has been lifted to reveal all the plans in store for this year’s Glasgow Cocktail Weekend (GCW).

Set to even bigger than last year, it will once again bring together the city’s finest venues, drinks, exciting parties and even bigger events to celebrate cocktails over four days.

New for 2019 is a dedicated “cocktail kingdom” in the Argyle St Arches.

Festival ticket holders will be able unlock special GCW menus across the city in over 30 bars for over 100 unlimited discounted £5 cocktails.

Official venues include the exotic basement oasis of Tiki on Bath Street, dive bar The Dam in Merchant City, the sophisticated surroundings of So L.A. and Finnieston favourite Rioja.

Every all access ticket includes entry into the interactive kingdom for a  2.5-hour session, tehn free tastings and ten free sample cocktails.

Ticket holders will also get  a masterclasses from top bartenders, live entertainment, access to a luxurious cocktail lounge, access to GCW menus and over 100 discounted £5 cocktails in more than 30 of Glasgow’s best venues.

The festival aims to showcase Glasgow’s best bars and bartenders to create a top cocktail event show showcase the charisma and energy of Glasgow.

Organiser Nicola Moir said: “We’re really excited to unveil our plans for this year’s event. We've got big plans and a truckload of magic to create an unforgettable experience for our guests.

“We’re working with some incredible venues to create interesting drinks, and our new fun cocktail kingdom will let you experience our imaginative world of cocktails like never before.

The event will take place over the September weekend, 26 to 29. Tickets go on sale 9am this Friday, May 31.
