Talent show The Voice are calling on Scottish singers to audition this weekend at Glasgow’s Horseshoe Bar

Scouts from The Voice UK are arriving in Glasgow this weekend in the search for a star singer.

Auditions are to take place on a first-come first serve basis on Saturday at the Horseshoe Bar, one of Glasgow’s most iconic night spots.

The Voice includes judges Sir Tom Jones, Olly Murs, Jennifer Hudson and Will.i.am and is set to air next year.

Potential stars are asked to prepare one song with a backing track and will be seen on a first come first serve basis on Drury Street beginning from 5pm.

The Horse Show is famous for the talent that has long filtered through its doors for a pie and a pint, including Travis, Deacon Blue, Billy Joel and Billy Connolly. Celebrity TV chef Keith Floyd once said it was his favourite bar in the world.

If you are picked, you could be the one that turns the iconic red chairs. Solo artists, duos and trios are invited to come along and show their stuff.

As the Horseshoe is an 18-only premise, contestants must be 18.
