PASSENGERS were already complaining of delays at Glasgow Airport as strike action hit.
@AlastairDalton @GLA_Airport unbelievable queues at Glasgow airport security this morning despite radio reports that passengers wouldn’t be impacted by strike

Industrial action escalated after a breakdown in talks to try and resolve a dispute over pensions.
Unite the union arranged two 12-hour strikes on June 7 and 10 between 4am to 4pm.
And this morning the action was already causing problems, hitting first thing this morning.
Some said there were two hour delays but airport bosses said the maximum delay was one hour.
A spokesman said queues are now back to normal and the airport is "happy" with how this morning's rush was handled.
So it's currently 6:30am and there's 2 hours security wait at Glasgow airport

Horrible to arrive in the Glasgow airport and meet queues like this. pic.twitter.com/tKH5KVqCep

The airport is part of AGS Airports Limited group, which also owns Aberdeen and Southampton airports.
Not everyone supports the strikers.
Feeling not one ounce of sympathy for the security staff strike at #glasgowAirport this morning. 2 security clearance desks open and it was utter chaos

A Glasgow Airport spokesman said: “We encountered longer than normal security times for a short period during our peak departure time and would apologise to our passengers for any inconvenience caused.
“It is important to highlight that the airport is fully operational and our contingencies are in place.
“We are working hard to ensure we keep any disruption to an absolute minimum during this period of industrial action.”
