DORSET'S first Starlight Concert looks set to be one of the biggest music events to be held at Upton Country Park.

Organisers say that tickets for the Killer Queen and ABBAMania night sold out so quickly they had to take the event off sale for three months.

“We are absolutely delighted with how popular our very first Starlight Concert weekend has proved to be in Poole. To sell out a concert in just a few weeks is amazing! It’s excellent we have managed to add more tickets to ensure more customers could enjoy the night," said Emma Brayne, operations director

Jo Cottingham, customer services director added: “The response has been phenomenal! Within a fortnight of selling out all our tickets to the Killer Queen and ABBA Mania night we had a shortlist of hundreds of additional people wanting to come. We are hugely looking forward to coming to Poole and giving music lovers a magical night."

Alan Barker, technical director said: “This is one of the biggest concert weekends ever to be held at Upton Country Park. We have been working closely with relevant authorities to ensure that our events are a success. The concerts have been so positively received that we’re already looking at next year's dates!”

The Upton House Music Festival runs from Friday, June 21 to Saturday, June 22.

Visitors are encouraged to pre-book their car parking tickets for just £4. Customers are also permitted to bring picnics to the site.
