Glasgow Queen Street has been reopened after a Scotrail train triggered the fire alarm by sending black smoke billowing inside the terminus.
Acrid smoke was seen coming from a train inside the station with Scotrail staff responding on social media saying that they were aware of the incident following reports of a train fire.
The station has since been reopened.

Witnesses took to social media after a train fire around 7.30am this morning with a video posted on social media showing the fire alarm ringing in the station.

ScotRail staff responded on social media saying that they were aware of the incident following reports of a train fire.
Three fire trucks were sent to the scene while crowds gathered outside the station.
Scotrail said the “broken-down train” was being moved to the depot at Eastfield.
The fire service said it was a false alarm with good intent.
A Scotrail spokeswoman said: “We are currently unable to operate trains to and from Glasgow Queen Street due to a fire alarm being activated.
“We are sorry to customers for the delay to their journey and will do everything we can to get services moving as quickly as possible.”

The fire alarm sounded following the incident after the platforms filled with black smoke in the upper levels.
A staff member told the Herald it was "a small train fire"
A commuter at the scene added: "I was heading into the station and seen a lot of thick, black smoke. The alarm was sounding and staff were ushering people out. I hope the station will open again soon as a lot of people will be running late."

Images shared on social media shows a number of passengers waiting outside.
One user wrote on social media saying: "Right now in Glasgow Queen Street, the place is thick with smoke! Still going too".
