A WELL-KNOWN restaurant in Glasgow's city centre has announced it is to close next weekend.
Chinese eatery Ho Wong, which had reportedly operated for 33 years from its York Street site, will shut for the final time next Saturday.
The restaurant was reportedly popular with locals, as well as with business people staying in nearby hotels.
In a note posted outside the building's door, owners wrote: "We are sad to announce and with regret that The Ho Wong Restaurant will be closing their doors to the public Saturday, June 29, 2019.

"The is due to the re-development of a new multi-million pound office building being built within this site.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for their continued support throughout 33 years of trading.
