A man is due in court today following an alleged murder bid outside a pub in Dumbarton.
Police confirmed that they arrested and charged a 23-year-old man in connection with the incident in High Street last Thursday afternoon.
We previously reported that a 55-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital following the incident outside the Captain James Lang Wetherspoon pub.
His condition was previously described as critical.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday, June 24.
"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
