A MOTORIST has been taken to hospital along with seven bus passengers after a crash involving a bus and car in Clydebank.

Two of those on the bus were babies, according to police.

We reported previously how the incident took place this morning at around 11am on Mountblow Road.

Police Scotland has said the bus passengers were all taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) as a precaution. 

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “We were called at 10.55am to reports of a road crash involving a northbound bus and Mazda car travelling south on Mountblow Road, Clydebank.

“The 64-year-old male Mazda driver was taken to the QEUH.

“There were seven passengers on the bus; five adults and two infants. All were taken to the QEUH as a precaution.

“The vehicles are currently in the process of being recovered and the debris cleared. The road should reopen soon.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
