A PUB in East Renfrewshire is set for a £385,000 revamp.
The Cartvale, in Busby, is hoping to make a name for itself for having one of the best beer gardens in the area once work is complete.
The makeover will get underway from July 1, with the venue scheduled to reopen in late August, creating 15 new jobs.

Full redecoration of the outside of the building will accentuate its character on Main Street.
The garden will also receive a makeover and become a focal point. New decking and planting, seating for 90 and festoon lighting will enhance its setting next to White Cart Water.
The inside of the pub will be given a stylish look, including new folding windows and a balustrade to provide views over the river and woodlands.
A kitchen will be put in to enable new licensee Andy Crossan, from the south of Glasgow, to introduce new food to the pub, all with a Scottish slant.
How the pub will look upon completion
Andy said he wants The Cartvale to be “a hub of the community” and welcoming to all.
He will open it up to local groups and clubs in need of meeting space and host a range of activities from quiz and board game evenings to music nights featuring bands from Glasgow and the West of Scotland.
Andy is also investing in Sky TV so local residents can enjoy major sporting events.

He said: “I’ve worked in hospitality all my life and have always wanted a pub of my own.
“It’s fantastic to work in a positive environment where you see people having a good time. When I saw The Cartvale was available, I knew it was the one. It’s in a great area I know well and has loads of potential. The plans are really exciting and the inside will be completely transformed when we’re finished. I can’t wait to open the doors.”
