THE good times are rolling at intu Braehead this summer as a roller disco takes over.
The ice has been melted and the curling rink has been transformed into a roller skating venue, complete with a giant glitter ball and plenty of old-school tunes.
On Tuesday, one of Scotland’s top freestyle roller skaters, Jim Whyte, paid the new roller rink a visit to check it out for himself.
While he was there, he gave some skaters, who were getting a sneak preview of the venue, a display of his skills and stunts.

Marketing manager for intu Braehead, David Lyon, said: “We’re definitely rolling out the welcome mat for everyone to enjoy a brand new fun activity we’ve never had before.
“The curling rink has been completely transformed with special lighting, a sound system playing some disco classics and, of course, the disco ball that will give everyone some glitter as they wheel around the rink.
“It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or an expert, our new roller skating rink is the place to be this summer and everyone is guaranteed to have a good time.”
