AN elderly dog is still looking for his forever home after being overlooked for the past 223 days.

A public appeal in May also failed to help Staffordshire bull terrier Bertie Brown find a home.

Formerly named Snoop, the dog is one of the longest residents at the Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Dunbartonshire.

Judy Button, manager of the centre, described the pooch as “a gorgeous guy who is continuously being overlooked in the kennels.”

She added: “He is 10-years-old, but is still full of life and has a lot of love to give.

“This boy could run rings around some younger dogs when chasing a ball. He will happily spend his days in a garden chasing as many as he can get in his mouth.

“Bertie can have a bit of attitude with other dogs and would much rather have all the human company to himself, so he would prefer to be the only pet in the house.

“He loves life, still has a spring in his step and a glint in his eye. Don’t let his age fool you.

“The team at the centre adore this boy and would like to see him going to the loving home he deserves.”
