A WELL-KNOWN Chinese restaurant has shared an emotional message with Evening Times readers as it prepares to close after 35 years.

We reported earlier this week how Ho Wong, on York Street, will shut for the final time on Saturday. 

Bosses said the closure comes amid the re-development of a new multi-million-pound office building being constructed within the site.

In a final message shared through the Evening Times newspaper, the Ho Wong team said: “We have been a special place to a lot of people in over 35 years and it is with much sadness and regret to announce that we will be closing our doors for the final time on Saturday 29th June 2019.
