A MAN has been taken to hospital after being attacked in a Tesco store.
Police were called to the Tesco superstore at Airdrie Retail Park on Gartlea Road at around 11.15am this morning.
A 26-year-old man was taken to hospital where he is currently being treated for injuries.

A police spokewoman said a 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
She said that attacker was armed with a weapon but it was not a knife and was not used on the victim.
A spokeswoman for the force said: "At around 11.15am police were called to reports of a man being assaulted within a supermarket at Airdrie Retail Park on Gartlea Road.

"Emergency services attended and a 26-year-old man was taken to Monklands General Hospital.
"A 30-year-old has been arrested and inquiries are ongoing."
