STRIKE action which was set to take place at Glasgow Airport this weekend has been suspended.
It comes amid confirmation from the airport’s owners AGS that more talks will take place on Monday, July 1.

Unite the union initially said workers including airport security officers, airport fire safety, airfield operations officers and engineering technicians would strike on Sunday, June 30.
Action has already taken place over four days this month, including today.

The strikes had come in response to a breakdown in talks over pensions and pay.
Mark Johnston, managing director of Glasgow Airport, said: “Unite has confirmed it has suspended the planned industrial action for Sunday 30 June. This is to allow for further talks to take place on Monday 1 July during which I hope we can reach a resolution.”
