Police Scotland's murder detectives still believe a missing woman has come to harm.

The force's Major Investigation Teams have re-appealed for information over the whereabouts of Patricia Henry who vanished almost two years ago on Monday, November 13, 2017. They have reiterated their belief that she has come to harm following a similar appeal last August.

The 46-year-old, known as Patti, was reported missing in March, last year. She lived in Paisley before relocating to Girvan in October 2017.

Cops across both police divisions in Renfrewshire and Ayrshire have carried out extensive investigations in the area - and are no further forward.

Detective Chief Inspector Suzanne Chow, of Police Scotland's Major Investigation Teams (MIT), said:  “Sadly, we now believe that it is very likely that Patricia has come to harm.  Despite her family and police making several media appeals, no-one has yet come forward with information that has been able to help us trace her.

"This is an agonising time for Patricia’s family.  They have received no contact from her since she was last seen.  We believe that if she was safe and well, she would have been in touch, in particular for family birthdays, Christmas and other key dates.

"She was a loved daughter, mother and aunt and all her family want to know is where she is and what has happened to her. "

Part of the MIT investigation has focused on Patricia's lifestyle and who she kept in contact with. We previously revealed that cops told us the missing woman struggled with alcohol issues. The force said this lifestyle line of enquiry will continue in a bid to find her.

Alannah McGrory is pictured during a previous police appeal with DCI Alan Sommerville.

DCI Chow added: "Officers have carried out extensive enquiries into Patricia’s background, the lifestyle she led and who she kept in contact with as part of this enquiry.  They are continuing to carry out enquiries and searches to locate her.

“Given that we now believe that Patricia has come to harm, we are appealing again for any information that could help us find Patricia and give her family some peace and closure.

"I am convinced someone has information that could help Patricia, her family and us‎. If it is you, please don't be scared to speak to us. You may have suffered too and if you have been a victim of any crime, we will protect and support you. ‎Please, do the right thing and contact us."

We also previously reported that officers had ruled out the possibility that Patricia had gone abroad to Spain.

Detective Alan Sommerville said that officers had checked her passport.

Patti's daughter Allanah McGrory, also appealed for information last year.

The then 18-year-old said: "My mum is known as Patti to most people and I am worried about her, she has never been so long without getting in touch."

As part of the investigation, forensic officers also carried out an investigation at the missing woman's Paisley home in Burnfoot Crescent.
