Tributes have been paid to a teenager who died at her home in with a fundraising campaign set up to support her family. 

Mischa Allan died in hospital after collapsing at her home on June 16. The was revived by paramedics before she died in hospital on June 22, surrounded by her family.

While the cause of death has not yet been declared, The Daily Record report that Mischa suffered a cardiac arrest. 

Following her tragic death, more than £7,000 has been raised for the teen's mum, Sophie who is a single mother of four. The money will help with the funeral.

A friend who set up the GoFundMe page: "Mischa was the loveliest teenager you could ever meet, she was so kind and caring and wanting to do good in this world."

Well-wishers who donated also paid tribute to the popular lass.

Emily Fergus said: "Mischa was the most lovely and caring person I’ve met and I’ll miss her so much.

"She was beyond talented and brought so much light to many people including me.

"I can't imagine how tough it is for her family but I send my love."

Amanda Stewart added: "Beautiful girl, beautiful nature, will miss you loads."

Mischa's school Stonelaw High also paid tribute. She previously attended Calderwood Primary. 

Anne Donaldson, South Lanarkshire Council’s Head of Education, said:  “Everyone within the Stonelaw High School community is shocked and deeply saddened at the news of Mischa’s death. Mischa was a skilled artist.
