Lisbon Lion Billy McNeill passed away at 79, and former Rangers and Scotland defender Eric Caldow died aged 84.

As well as the usual features, the Wee Red Book has some exciting brand-new additions to its pages.

In the year that Glasgow City’s Leanne Ross was presented with a shirt to mark 250 appearances and Claire Emslie scored Scotland’s first goal in a World Cup against England in France, the Wee Red Book is to feature the Scottish Women’s League tables for the first time.

Fittingly, co-editor Jackie Brogan is the first female co-editor in the publications long history.

Also included as a new feature of the Scottish League are Cove Rangers.

All the latest Scottish football club fact files are included, as well is Scotland’s national team results.

Readers can find the big game dates and league fixtures as well as every result from Scottish clubs in Europe.

It also features photographs of some of the most potent moments in Scottish football, so readers can revisit once-in-a-lifetime moments.

Originally called The Evening Times Football Annual, the Wee Red Book is the go-to guide for football lovers and has previously been referred to as the ‘bible’ of Scottish football.

Co-edited by football fanatic Stuart Sandler, who has worked on the Wee Red Book since 2007, Stuart has previously described the book as the ‘Anorack’s’ guide to Scottish football as it is one of the most comprehensive annuals of it’s time.

“After last season’s 90th anniversary edition, this years Wee Red Book is again packed with everything you need to know about an exciting year in Scottish football”, said Stuart, co-editor and Evening Times Audience and Content editor.

“Following Berwick Rangers’ relegation, we have a new Scottish football club included, in the shape of Cove Rangers.

“We’ve also included Scottish Women’s League tables and some new matches to remember from a season full of shock results and late comebacks.

“The Wee Red Book may be small, but it is full of all of the must-have facts covering the whole of Scottish football.”

The Wee Red Book will be available to buy both in stores and online from Saturday, July 6th – plenty of time for the new season beginning!
