Glasgow Times:

The closure comes at the start of the venue hosting a major retrospective of the photography of Linda McCartney.

It is the first time the exhibition of images, from showbiz shots to intimate portraits of her husband and children, has been shown in the UK.

Sir Paul McCartney and daughters Mary and Stella put together The Linda McCartney Retrospective, which runs at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum to January 12 next year.

Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum opened in 1901 and is a firm favourite with visitors from across the world.

The 22 galleries feature displays on everything from ancient Egypt to Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
