A man has appeared in the dock today accused of slashing Dennistoun crime thug Martyn Fitzsimmons.
Jason McLaren, 26, stands accused of assaulting Fitzsimmons at Low Moss prison on April 12, last year.
McLaren was in Glasgow's High Court accused of using a blade to allegedly attack Fitzsimmons to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement.
The former is also charged with assaulting Sean Connolly to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement in a cell at the same nick on January 13, last year.

McLaren is alleged to have slashed both men on the face.
He is also accused of attempting to defeat the ends of justice by disposing of the bladed instruments by means unknown.
McLaren denies the charges against him.
Defence counsel Mark Moir said: “The defence are prepared for trial.”
Prosecutor Owen Mullan told the court: “The trial is expected to last five days.”
Judge Lady Scott set the trial for November.
