Glasgow City Council confirmed the news while Traffic Scotland also shared an update regarding the bus on social media.
They said: "A739 Clyde Tunnel N/B - broken down bus in lane 1 - traffic queuing on approach."
Drivers had been warned to expect serious delays as the issue was dealt with.
But the council traffic bulletin confirmed earlier this morning that the tunnel had become fully operational once more.
