Indie superstar Richard Ashcroft showed Glasgow’s music scene respect - by donning a one-off Barrowlands t-shirt during his TRNSMT set.
Kicking things off with the Verve mega-hit Sonnet, the star screamed, “What a beautiful f***ing day.”
The singer teamed the shirt, which featured the iconic Barrowlands sign and the words Richard Ashcroft, Hall of Fame, with a retro Burberry inspired bucket hat.
And although Ashcroft might have looked casual on stage, his set was a classy display from start to finish.

This Is How It Feels and Song for Lovers followed with vocals that did not falter.
Ashcroft is the sort of artist made for festivals like this - after all, he has played enough of them.
And that experience showed as he continued with a masterclass in his back catalogue which included solo tracks Music is Power and Verve classic Drugs Don’t Work.
The singer, 47, then said: “I just want to say how proud I am to be in the Barrowlands Hall of Fame. One of the greatest music cities in the world.”
And with talent like yours Richard, we are proud to have you in our city.
