LEWIS CAPALDI owned his legendary status at TRNSMT by having another dig at Noel Gallagher.

Not only did the bold as brass Scot appear on-stage with a Star Wars Chewbacca mask on his face, but he also went on to cover the classic Oasis track Don’t Look Back in Anger.

He even called it Don’t Chewback in Anger and dedicated it to his ‘dad’ Noel.

He might have been singing beautiful ballads but it didn’t stop the funnyman from acting like a lad on stage.

He even performed an x-rated chant in the style of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury.
The Scot drew inspiration from Queen’s famous Wembley performance at Live Aid after seeing the size of the crowd at the Glasgow Green.

And while Freddie’s famous concert moment was to test the prowess of his vocals with the audience, cheeky Lewis just seized the opportunity for pure banter as he screamed classic Scottish putdowns including chubby, f***y b**s, diddy and b*w bag.

He then joked: “Don’t think I’ll get that on the BBC.”

He added: “It’s good to be home. My name is f**king Lewis Capaldi.”

Opening his set with the same swagger as Glastonbury, Lewis let the crowd rave to GBX anthem Bits n Pieces before he settled in to the powerful Grace.

Ready to welcome their Scottish hero home, the TRNSMT audience chanted Lewis Capaldi to the tune of The White Stripes Seven Nation Army.
