POLICE are hunting for a man after a sexual assault on a Glasgow Central train. 

Officers from British Transport Police are investigating an incident where the man is reported to have inappropriately touched a woman, aged in her 20s, and made sexual comments to her.

He was also aggressive to other passengers on the train.

The incident, which took place at around 8.51pm on Thursday, July 11, was on the Glasgow Central to Lanark service. 

BTP officers are today appealing for further information after the sexual assault between Central and Carluke stations. 

The man is described as white, bald, tall, of a heavy build, and wearing a purple or pink hooded top, jeans, green trainers and carrying a white drawstring bag. He also had tattoos on his hand.

Cops are now asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or who knows the identity of the suspect, to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 and quoting reference 100 of July 12.
