RADIO host and ex-Clyde 1 DJ Suzie McGuire has paid stricken Rangers legend Fernando Ricksen a visit.

The broadcaster described the Dutchman as “mischievous as ever” as she shared a snap of the pair together on her social media.

Posting a picture on her Twitter page, Suzie wrote: “With @FernandoRicksen today. Still as mischievous as ever and asked me to share this along with his love for his friends, fans and footballer pals. What a fighter he is. #legend.”

ALS is the most common form of the muscle-wasting condition Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

We reported previously how football fans have been helping to raise money to help fund Ricksen’s family’s visits from Spain to the Airdrie hospice where he currently is.

With a target of £5,000 on the GoFundMe page, so far, almost half of that has been gathered.
