IT has been a firm favourite among the A-listers in London for decades and now, finally, Glasgow is to enjoy a slice of the action.

Tennis coach and sports campaigner Judy Murray and singer Amy Macdonald were among the famous faces attending the launch party for the new Ivy at 106 Buchanan Street, the site of the former Nationwide bank.

Guests at Monday’s soiree enjoyed sneak preview of the menu tucking into canapes of asparagus with truffle hollandaise and tempura prawns along with mini whisky crème brûlée doughnuts and raspberry

The restaurant is due to open on Monday, July 29 and has been lavishly decorated in the Art Deco style of the others with bold and colourful prints, pendant lighting, marble floor tiles with leather banquettes and bar stools.
