POPULAR Shawlands restaurant Mr Wu's Disco Kitchen has said a sudden goodbye to customers.

There were rumours earlier this week that the favourite eaterie may be about to close.

And now owners have confirmed the news on the restaurant's official Facebook page.

They wrote: "Unfortunately the time has come and we have had to close the doors to Mr Wu’s. 

"We’d like to thank all our customers,staff and friends, old and new for your continued support throughout."

But the news isn't all bad.

Bosses have teased that their may be a pop up restaurant coming soon.

They added: "It doesn’t end here - keep an eye out for our social medias as we POP UP elsewhere."  

Jenny Padaruth said: "Awwww no, such a shame the food was epic."

Criss Macgregor-Ryan added: "Ah sorry to hear that Mr Wu.

"Glad we got in on Saturday for a final Katsu curry."

And another sad customer wrote: "Miss Wu already."
