Glasgow's new Belstaff store has opened its doors to the public - complete with an in house coffee and gin bar.

The luxury brand, which specialises in outerwear, launched its new venue on Ingram Street earlier this month.

It is not just Glaswegians that enjoy the slick styles - the brand is also a favourite with celebrities including Sarah Jessica Parker, George Clooney, Brad Pitt and David Beckham.

With the recent high temperatures in the city, the store's cool interior is a welcome break from the blazing sun.

Leather armchairs and magazines are sprawled across the shop floor for customers to relax while shopping.

And it is only made easier with an in-house coffee and gin and tonic bar, so shoppers need not stray far to get their caffeine fix.

The furniture and antique pieces on display have been sourced locally, and are unique to the Glasgow store. These include a double bow ended cabinet and a circular display case, used to display trophies, a reference to the brand’s moto DNA.

The brand was founded by Eli Belovitch and his son-in-law Harry Grosberg, in Longton, near Stoke, in 1924.

At one time it produced more than 80,000 Trialmaster jackets a year. They were worn by bikers the world over, including the late Steve McQueen, star of The Great Escape.
