The family of Fernando Ricksen have banded together with nurses at an Airdrie hospice to throw a surprise birthday party.
The stricken Rangers star celebrated his 43rd birthday on Saturday, and it was not to pass without a party.
He continues to be bedridden while battling Motor Neurone Disease.
His hospice room was decked out in blue balloons, banners and bunting as wife Veronika and daughter Isabella presented a giant football-shaped cake.
A touching video posted by Veronika shows nurses opening double doors to pull his bed through to the party.

She captioned it: "Thanks everyone who coming today, to spend this nice day with us , Fernando really happy and we had best time ever.
"He really enjoy this day - happy birthday."
It comes after Isabella surprised her dad by turning up at his bedside on Friday night, the eve of his birthday.
A video shows her running to Fernando before hugging him, kissing his cheek and dancing beside him.
The family had previously been worried that they could not afford the journey to the Airdrie hospice from Spain.
But kind-hearted football fans came together and raised over £3,000 for the heartbroken family to ensure they could visit 'whenever they wanted to'.
