MOTORISTS are warned of delays as a road is closed to facilitate repairs.

Scottish Water said shutting the road in the East End of Glasgow is needed to enable works to a burst water main and damage to the road following the burst.

A stretch of London Road at its junction with Fielden Street and Dunn Street will be closed from early this evening to enable the work to be carried out.

Local diversions will be in operation and drivers are advised to check signs for more information.

The work will be completed and the road re-opened as quickly as possible.

Scottish Water said it apologised for any inconvenience and thanked road users in advance for their patience and co-operation.

The burst main is not affecting water supplies to properties.
