A STRETCH of road in the East End of Glasgow is to remain closed for the foreseeable future as works continue to repair a burst water main.
Part of London Road was also damaged following the burst on Tuesday (July 30).

The section of the road at its junction with Fielden Street and Dunn Street will remain shut while Scottish Water repairs the main and assesses what reinstatement work is required on the road surface and ground beneath.
Scottish Water said every effort is being made to minimise disruption to road users. However, for safety reasons, it is likely some road traffic management will be required there for some time.

The team said: “We fully appreciate this road traffic management will impact spectators travelling to Celtic Park for the Celtic v St Johnstone match on Saturday, August 3. Fans are advised to allow extra time for travel.”
